The building is inserted in the important historical nucleus of the Village of Requena, being meant as the fundamental piece of the self-seeker Project Requena " village of books " since it will constitute sedate her of the Foundation of the same name, museum of the book and container of small temporary exhibitions.

The project recovers the section of the Islamic wall as front of " The Village " towards outside, untying his character of massive, defensive linen, of limit of the former city.
